Mankind Tracer, AKA Seth Regan, Live From Amsterdam Poster

Ayakashi Island- Mankind Tracer is set to perform live in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, this month. Tracer is inviting Second Life residents to purchase tickets to the Amsterdam show, which will be streamed live into SL on July 26th. At least ten venues will carry the stream. Tracer is the real life musician Seth Regan. Once based in New York, he now resides in San Diego.

Since coming to SL, Tracer has been an integral part of the SL music scene. He has helped set up many venues and has participated in some major musical events.  Earlier this year, frustrated with the 100 avatar maximum allowed in regions, Tracer set up a  free concert spanning 23 Sims. The show lasted 5.5 hours.  He used a 1000 listener stream and set up landmarks so avatars could find where to go next. The event was highly successful for Tracer, who has also particpated in high profile events such as Relay for Life. Tracer regularly performs at his own venue, Temple of Mankind, on Ayakashi Island.

Tracer's dedication to the SL music scene has not gone unnoticed. His fanclub has over 1400 members. He was also awarded the 2008 Best of SL award for Best Live Performer.

While Tracer has accomplished a lot in his Second Life, it has hardly gone to his head. While speaking to him, there is a sense of openness and friendliness which can sometimes be missing in experiences with celebrities. When asked about some of his accomplishments, his humbleness showed through.

"I've worked hard to get where I am but I must credit the wonderful SL residents," Tracer said. "I have been able to reach a global audience which I would not have otherwise reached."

Tracer also said his CD sales from his website have increased since he joined SL. About half of Tracer's fanbase live in Europe; it those fans as well as friends that helped to set up the Amsterdam concert. Originally, the show was scheduled to be just a real-life show. Tracer realized many of his SL fans are not able to pack up and go to Amsterdam. Thus he was inspired to stream the show in real-time, in-world.

Tracer also issues a "public and personal thank you" to Luc Submariner, Kaiya Manbi, Haven Colville and Roos Tomsen.

"They have not only become friends,"Tracer said. "They are confidants and people I can really turn to."
