SUNSET BEACH -- Abacus Mimistrobell is a motor afficianado who's spent most of his teens working with cars, thus developing a fairly vast knowledge in fixing exotics and "muscle" vehicles. Together with his girlfriend Ms Obscure, Mimistrobell is launching an SL company, AM Pro Rides, specializing in high-end vehicles, mostly sports cars.

"I have a love of building models and things that require detail," Mimistrobell says while showing this reporter one of his creations, among them a 825-prim vehicle known as the AM Pro Charger and described it as "designed to be the most attention grabbing, bone rattling, teeth chatering, neck snapping ride in SL."

"My inspiration for these cars just comes from wanting them in RL," Mimistrobell says. "But they're mostly based off of RL cars." According to Mimistrobell, the AM Pro Charger is the first vehicle off the prodution line and took home the prestigious Best in Show award at this year's annual Phreeq Maltshop Classic Muscle All-Prim Automotive Contest. The contest, held at Motorati Life's Pontiac Island is where the best all-prim car builders in SL show off their automotive savvy to the residents of SL. "The AM Pro charger left the competition in the dust in style and design", Mimistrobel says proudly and adds that his initial goal was to have the highest prim detailed cars in SL. "I wanted to be able to give people a sense of realism based on the limitations of SL," he says, "And also, I have no texturing background so all the pics I'm able to make are made in prims and not textures."

Mimistrobell tells SLNN that the AM Pro Charger is the result of 29 straight work hours and that detail is the key word when it comes to his creations. "I think that for the most part my use of highly detailed prims make my cars stand apart from the rest", he says.

The high-end sports cars displayed at the AM Pro Rides' show room have a price tag of L$ 5,000. "I'm targeting anyone who would like to own some of my art, motor enthusiasts, car fanatics and people who love this new industry. We have kind of built for ourselves here," Mimistrobell says and then adds: "I want to try and appeal to everyone, really."

What about the competition? Is AM Pro Rides going to compete with other RL car manufacturers operating in-world, like Mercedes-Benz for example? "As a mater of fact, I was actually hoping that they would take a liking to my products and maybe work with them on some things."  Mimistrobell says. "It all really depends on how they like my prim cars. Some people like them while others hate them."
